CHRIST ANGLICAN CHURCH LOS ANGELES – OUR JOY AND TRANSITION
Christ Anglican Church Los Angeles, fondly known as CACLA, has come a long way since the Spring of 2013. We are a proud member of the dynamic and most evangelical Anglican communion world-wide, the Church of Nigeria Anglican communion, led by His lordship, The Most Rev’d. Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, the Archbishop of Abuja Province and Primate of the Church of Nigeria. We are also a ministry partner of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) with whom we have continued to enjoy a symbiotic relationship. We are canonically led under the episcopal leadership of Rt. Rev. Dr. Felix Orji, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of The West, and the Co-ordinating Bishop, Church of Nigeria North American Mission (CONNAM). By the grace of God, we are like a house planted on a solid rock, being one of the special first fruits of this proud Anglican Diocese of The West, as the first in the State of California, divinely positioned towards the Southern hemisphere to be finitely precise. History has vindicated our humble and yet gallant steps, to the glory of God. Halleluyah!
We, as Christ Anglican Church Los Angeles, want to thank God for taking us through a rough wilderness experience to the present place He has brought us. We know He has not yet finished with us. He has indeed brought us to a place we can call our own- “Our Rehoboth.” We have learnt a lot as we have been pruned by the Master to bear fruits that will abide and as well bring glory to the Father. Our skills also have been honed through tutelage even as He has equipped us to declare His glory, having delivered us from the powers of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of His Son Jesus, in whom we have redemption through His blood. We have a mandate to promote God’s name by proclaiming Christ as Lord and we gladly invite you to join us in this mandate through the propagation of His word and making disciples of all nations. We have identified true love and compassion as our vehicle for this mission. We are confident in God’s promise of being with us and we know He will continue to make His fragrance known through us.
We want to use this opportunity to specially thank God for the endearing servants of God, whom He used to bring us to this solid estate: Venerable Chukwuma Ubadinobi, our first Supervising Priest, and Current Dean of the Anglican Diocese of The West, and Sir Nnodu Ojukwu, whom the Lord used as the foremost Catechist and Bishop’s Warden to lead this Church through this transition. There were able to do this through the synergistic efforts of the Vestry and Church members. Nonetheless, CACLA has been blessed by the presence of Venerable Dr. Nwafor & family, whose coming has been likened as one sent just at the appropriate time to serve and lead the Church to fulfill her mission. He serves as the Rector of Christ Anglican Church Los Angeles and Regional Archdeacon of Southern California Archdeaconry. His passion for God and His word, the commitment and willingness to serve, and exemplary leadership has been a blessing to us. We pray the good Lord continues to equip Him with every grace He needs to fulfill His role among us as a true steward of God’s manifold grace.
Finally, we want to thank everyone whom the Lord has used to put this Church in the right direction. We pray you would continue to strive with us in prayers and continue your support to us even as we trust the Lord to also support and bless every of your endeavors. Our hearts are enlarged and open to as many who would want to join us in this mission. We pray that your presence will be a blessing among us so that God alone will be glorified.
